Hi, I’m Alison and I founded my consulting business Workology Co in 2017 as I have a passion for helping SMEs beat their competitors through having the best workplace culture possible.

As Sir Richard Branson infamously said,

“Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.”

Or in other words,

Provide a top Employee Experience => Great Workplace Culture => Premium Customer Experience => Sales and Repeat Business

Prior to founding Workology Co, for nearly 20 years I provided senior advisory and consulting services in the reactive side of Workplace Relations & HR, working for organisations including Gadens (lawyers), Australian Industry Group, VHIA and LifeWorks.

I have also held the position of HR Manager in a company undergoing massive change, and a year’s sabbatical to follow a long-held dream to study journalism. I am also a qualified, experienced and highly engaging workplace facilitator – no death by powerpoint from my sessions.

About Alison Drew-Forster

A lifelong learner, I am continually challenging myself to uncover new ways that I can help inspire small businesses towards achieving their own brand of a unique and successful culture.

I am also personally aware of the myriad of challenges small business owners face, as both my husband and I own and operate small businesses at different stages of growth.

I like being happy, I enjoy having a good belly laugh or two – at work as well as in my private life. I thrive on being challenged and working hard, but with enough time and headspace left over that I can still enjoy living this one life we’ve been given.

And after years of working with the fallout from all the things that can go wrong in a workplace, I am passionate about helping SMEs provide a positive employee experience and great culture.

It’s my vision of how to help make the world just that little bit nicer – with the benefit of helping businesses succeed.

Now I’m not naïve enough to expect that every employee can be happy or engaged or motivated, all of the time. Some will feel far from this, perhaps for a great deal of the time.

But my years of experience have taught me that even small, basic changes in a workplace culture can make all the difference. And luckily for you, I have a wealth of knowledge about how to do just that. Plus, some great contacts from when the solutions might fall outside of my skillset.
